Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-18 ยท effective 18 October 2026. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. About these terms
Raising Girls is run by Parenting Champions with Irene Bangwell ("we", "us"). These terms apply to theraisinggirls.com and its programmes: the 10 Over 10 Girls Squad, EquipHer, the Body Smart Girl Bootcamp, the Reading Challenge, Thrive and our store.
You agree to these terms when you tick the agreement box while creating an account or registering for a programme. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information; it is a separate document.
2. Who can use the service, and accounts
Accounts are opened by adults: parents, guardians and mothers. Staff and mentor accounts are created only by our Super Admin. Please give accurate details, keep your password private, and tell us quickly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account and on phones you approve for your daughter.
3. Children and parents
Our programmes serve girls aged 3 to 17. A girl never signs herself up and does not agree to these terms herself. Her parent or guardian registers her, agrees to these terms on her behalf, and gives consent for us to use her information as the Privacy Policy describes.
- A girl opens Squad only on a phone her parent has approved, and the parent can remove that phone at any time.
- We never ask for a girl's surname, school, home address, photo or her own phone number.
- Wall posts are checked by staff before other girls see them, and only her first name is shown.
- Prayer requests and faith reflections are read only by the Chaplain and the Safeguarding Lead.
- If we have a safeguarding concern about a child, we may act on it and contact her parent or the right authorities.
4. Our programmes
Squad gives monthly pre-recorded lessons, end-of-lesson tasks, quizzes, live sessions on Zoom, Talent Communities and, on mentor plans, mentor calls. The Christian track includes Bible Study and the Bible Live Session; the Character & Leadership track does not. Access lasts for the period you paid for.
EquipHer is a 52-week mother-and-daughter programme with its own login. Bootcamp is a three-day programme for the edition you book. The Reading Challenge runs in cohorts with a WhatsApp group. The store sells e-books and resources.
Times, mentors and session content may change for good reasons; we will tell you when they do.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not bully, harass or threaten anyone; share another person's private information; pretend to be someone else; try to get into accounts or areas that are not yours; interfere with the site; or share live session links with people outside the programme. Report anything worrying to us using the contacts below. We may remove content or pause access to keep girls safe.
6. Our materials
Lessons, videos, cards, journals, quizzes, games and books belong to Raising Girls or the people who licensed them to us. You may use them within your own household for your daughters' learning. Please do not copy, resell, rebroadcast or share them publicly without our written permission.
7. Your daughter's work, live sessions and recordings
Your daughter's tasks, answers and posts stay yours. You allow us to store and show them inside the programme only (to her, you, and the staff and mentors who work with her). Please do not record live sessions. Using a girl's story, name or image publicly, for example in Squad Stars, needs separate permission from her parent, which we ask for each time. Agreeing to these terms is not that permission.
8. Fees and payments
Fees are shown before you pay. You can pay by bank transfer, or online through Paystack, which adds its own charge as shown at checkout. Online payments are confirmed once Paystack verifies them; bank transfers once we check them. Bootcamp seats paid by bank transfer are held for 3 days. Where a returning-family or voucher price can't be confirmed, the difference becomes a balance, and access may pause if it stays unpaid after the notice period we give you.
Refunds and cancellations: please contact us and we will look at your situation. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under consumer law.
9. Privacy
We handle personal information as our Privacy Policy and the law require. You can download your daughter's records or ask us to delete them from your Membership page.
10. Services we rely on
We use Paystack (payments), Zoom (live sessions), YouTube (lesson videos), Supabase and Hostinger (hosting and storage), Resend (email) and WhatsApp (messages). Their own terms also apply when you use them, and we can't control their outages.
11. Availability and responsibility
We work hard to keep the site running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or problems outside our control. Our programmes support parents; they do not replace parental care, medical or professional advice. This does not limit any responsibility we cannot legally limit, including our safeguarding duties.
12. Suspension and closing an account
We may pause or close access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, safety concerns or unpaid balances. Where it is safe to, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You can ask to close your account at any time; records are then handled as the Privacy Policy describes.
13. Questions and complaints
Please contact us first and we will try to put things right, aiming to reply within 7 days.
14. Changes to these terms
We will email you before any important change. If a change needs your fresh agreement, we will ask you to accept it when you next sign in. Small wording fixes won't need re-acceptance. Earlier versions are kept on record.
